02:14 I thought I'd murder several birds with one rather large rock. I've been experimenting with my Canon Vixia HF100 over the last couple days - which I've had for over a year now - diving deeper into the settings in pursuit of high quality recordings. Trying to get a grip on proper lighting mostly right now.
Other items I wanted to tackle with this quick project:
· Using a NLE (Non-Linear-Editing system) for the first time. Sony Vegas 9 was used for slight level adjustment, audio mixing (backing track and guitar part), and video rendering. (CHECK)
· Post a video on the internets for the first time. (CHECK)
· See if I look as goofy playing as my playing sounds (DOUBLE-CHECK!)
Feel free to comment (like I can stop you). I'm curious to hear from those who use this camera or others like it. What have you found to be the biggest challenges as far as lighting, format (24p/30/60i), editing (AVCHD), lenses (I really need a wide-angle), etc. This was shot at 30fps. An earlier test at 24fps seemed to yield better colors and light, but the angle and lighting was slightly different, so I'm not sure what caused what.
And for the guitarists: It's an Ibanez SA260FM. I used Native Instruments Guitar Rig 3 for tracking the guitar live. I used one of the built-in presets (Pink Numb Lead) which was probably a little bit over the top for this song. I should have tracked it before, not after the modeling. Then I could have dialed in something a little better. Oh well. It served its purpose. Go easy on the 'I can play that 100 times better' comments please. Thanks. :)

Originally a self-generated project, Seymourpowell¹s Aircruise is the concept design for a hotel in the sky, with low passenger numbers and huge internal spaces offering room for living, dining and relaxing, as well as scope for dramatic and inspirational public spaces. The initial design proposes a bar/lounge zone, four duplex apartments, a penthouse and five smaller apartments.
The concept subsequently captured the imagination of Korean giant Samsung Construction and Trading (C&T). Driven by its interest in new materials for building, Samsung C&T appointed Seymourpowell to refine the idea and produce a detailed computer animation of the proposed experience to illustrate this visionary approach to the future.
